Getting Started with Audiocado

With Audiocado you can create beautiful visualizations from your podcast or audio files.

First step is to visit the start page and search for your podcast in the search field or upload your audio file with the second button.
Then you need to create a new design for this episode by clicking on the "add design" or the big button:

Designs determine how your audio will be visualized. They come in different formats from landscape to portrait for various social media platforms.

The editor will be opened in a new browser tab and show you a preconfigured design with your episode's cover image, and a waveform added to it in a matching color. On the left side you can see content we found in your podcast episode like podcast name, episode title, podcast image and episode title. Click on the elements to add them to the canvas.

If you already like what you are seeing, you are done. Otherwise, you can now use the editor to customize your design.

Change the look of your design

Next it's time to give your design a distinct look and feel!

You can change position and size of any element in the editor by clicking on it. Drag the whole element around to arrange the position, drag the corner handles apart or together to scale the element.

Audiocado offers many sound visualizations. Click on the "Waveform" icon on the left side and try them out yourself. You can also start the playback of your audio file and click through the visualization options and see live previews.

Audiocado also offers progress bars to show your audience the progress of the video. You can find them on the left under "Progress". Click on one of the options and a progress bar will be added to the design.

You can also add text elements and images to the design via the according menus on the left.

Images can be uploaded via the "Image Upload" button in the "Image" menu. After a few moments the image will be listed under "Your image files". You can set images as background by dragging them on the edges of your design or add them as a separate element to the design by just clicking on it.

Save and render your design

To download your design as a video, Audiocado needs to render the design on our servers. To start this progress click on the "Generate Video" button in the upper right corner of the editor.

A menu will open that gives you some intel on the length of the video that will be rendered - 15 second videos are free, so you may just want to continue by pressing the "Download video now" button.

You will see a progress bar showing you the current status of your video. You can continue working by opening Audiocado in a new browser tab (see screenshot). In any case you will receive an email containing a download link to your video once it is finished.

When the video is finished your browser will automatically download it. Otherwise, click on the "Download" button.

That's it, you just created an awesome video from a podcast episode. The next time you hit the library you will notice that the design you just created will be displayed beneath the imported episode.
